The Dry Ice Blasting Process

DryIce

Preparation:

After we know your specific detailing needs, the vehicle is prepped by masking off sensitive areas and setting up the dry ice blasting equipment.

Blasting:

Dry ice pellets are shot out of a nozzle at high velocity using compressed air. When the pellets hit the surface, they instantly sublimate, causing a micro-thermal shock that breaks the bond between the dirt and the surface, effectively lifting it away.

Completion:

The process leaves no secondary waste, and any remaining contaminants are simply vacuumed or blown away. We perform a final inspection and any necessary touch-ups to ensure your vehicle looks its best.

Why Choose Dry Ice Detailing?

  • Non-Abrasive Cleaning

Dry ice blasting is gentle on surfaces, ensuring that paint, chrome, and other delicate parts of your vehicle are not damaged during the cleaning process. This feature makes it ideal for preserving the finish of high-end and classic cars.

  • Chemical-Free Process

The cleaning method uses no chemicals or solvents, making it an eco-friendly option that is safe for both the user and the environment. This reduces the risk of chemical residues and hazardous waste.

  • Residue-Free

As the dry ice sublimates upon impact, it leaves no secondary waste or residues behind. This ensures a spotless finish and eliminates the need for additional cleanup.

  • Effective on Tough Contaminants

Dry ice blasting effectively removes stubborn contaminants such as grease, oil, tar, and road grime from various surfaces of your vehicle. This makes it highly efficient for both exterior and interior cleaning, as well as engine and underbody cleaning.

  • Reduces Downtime

The dry ice blasting process is quick and efficient, significantly reducing the time needed for thorough vehicle detailing. This allows for faster turnaround times, getting your vehicle back on the road sooner.

  • Enhances Vehicle Longevity

By thoroughly cleaning and removing contaminants that can cause wear and tear, dry ice blasting helps maintain the condition of your vehicle. Regular use can enhance the longevity of your vehicle’s components, preserving its value and performance.
